Grant of another one time dispensation to Appendix -II qualified Accounts Clerks for promotion to the post of Jr. Accounts Assistant against DR quota.

Sub:- Grant of another one time dispensation to Appendix -II qualified Accounts Clerks for promotion to the post of Jr. Accounts Assistant against DR quota.

The issue of grant of one-time dispensation to Appendix-II qualified Accounts Clerks for promotion to the post of Jr. Accounts Assistant/JAA against DR quota has been under consideration of Ministry of Railways for some time now. Both staff Federations (NFIR & AIRF) have also represented on this issue.

2. After careful consideration, it has been decided, as a one-time measure, to fill up a part of the direct recruitment quota posts of Jr. Accounts Assistants from Appendix-II IREM qualified Accounts staff available and eligible for promotion as on date.

3. While effecting promotion orders, it may be ensured that the number of posts filled up by promotion through this special dispensation does not exceed one-third (33 1/3%) of the Direct Recruitment vacancies assessed in the cadre.
